The venue: Its located @ The Golden Cross 8 Hay Lane Coventry CV1 5RF
The Golden Cross is the oldest pub in Coventry in fact one of the oldest in the Midlands, and only one of three buildings like this of its kind within Coventry, The venue is divided across two floors and here at first at first date we will be hiring the first floor allowing our clients to relax and feel at ease while enjoying a drink or two and making some great connections on the evening, The Golden cross also accommodates for food so thinking of joining us come for a bite to eat first..
Ideally situated within walking distance to the centre of city and with with Plenty of parking near by it’s ideal to come down and join us for the evening. – Local Train Station is less than half mile from the venue – Approx 7-8 Minutes Walk and the nearest car park is Salt Lane Car Park.
What To Expect From The Evening?
Once you arrive at the venue come to the main bar you will notice that we have hired the area out exclusively so you can relax amongst friends and enjoy the evening while tucking into a Cocktail or two. Our Venue Opens for 7.30 pm registration , Our Love At First Date host will register you to be ready for an 8 pm start.
Don’t worry our host will take care of everything for you including giving you a match card with a number on it. Once we’re ready to start, everything will be explained and everyone will take their seats at the matching tables. You will enjoy a 5-minute speed date with up to 14 other singles during the evening marking down which dates you would like to see again as you go on your match card. Each speed date will end when the host rings the bell, and the men will rotate round the tables, whilst the women stay seated until you have had a date with everyone.
You can expect to have a fabulous evening with other singles like you, who are fed up with online dating, and want to date in a friendly, relaxed way.
What To Expect After The Evening?
We will send you an email the day after our speed dating event to let you know who you matched with and then the rest is up to you.
We will let you know if your matches’ intention is for friendship or love/dating so you can choose to get in touch again with them.
